Spirit Amethyst—also called Cactus or Fairy Amethyst—is a unique and enchanting formation where second-generation crystals grow over an original Quartz or Amethyst point, creating a sparkling drusy coating while still revealing the top of the original crystal. This growth pattern gives it a clustered, cactus-like appearance, hence the nickname. Spirit Quartz can form in both clear Quartz and Amethyst varieties, as Amethyst is a member of the Quartz family and shares its hexagonal crystal structure and hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale. Found primarily in South Africa, these formations are prized both scientifically and metaphysically. Spirit Amethyst is believed to carry a high vibration, making it a powerful stone for spiritual evolution, aura cleansing, and connecting with higher realms. Its clustered points are thought to amplify energy, promote harmony in group settings, and assist with deep inner healing.
